Time for September Song

We had a wonderful end of summer/Labor Day celebration. Mom and I went to Adoration, then we picked up Chuy at her apartment and came to my house. Josh and his family and Kelly and Darcy arrived around 2ish. Josh had marinated ribs the night before in a Korean marinade. They were so good! Kelly brought an Asian salad and a pork tenderloin that was also delish. I rounded out the meal with rice and corn, and chocolate chip ice cream for dessert.

That's precious Aubrey above on the left. She is growing, but still very tiny at 3 months. She will probably be petite, like her mommy. Her great-Gran was very happy to see her.

After dinner, Mom, Kelly, Reece and I visited a nearby goat farm that I found through Local Harvest. We bought some cheese and eggs. They sell goats milk, produce and kefir, too. We will definitely be going back! Reece was very interested in the goats and a llama. :o) One of the goats sneezed, and Reece let out a belly laugh. He didn't want to leave when it was time to go.

We ate ice cream when we got home, then went swimming. Kelly and I were jumping around in the pool, exercising, and Reece was doing what we were doing. It was so cute! He will "swim" off the steps to me, going underwater for a few seconds. He had so much fun and cried when we got out of the pool. He was soon happy again, though, when we drove Mom home. He loves to go to her place.

He is spending the night with me. We played with trucks and blocks for awhile, colored, watched some kid videos on YouTube, read Where The Wild Things Are twice, then he fell fast asleep. What a sweetheart.

It was such a nice day, but we missed Ron, who is still in Florida, Mike who needed some down time on his own after being out of town last week, and Jason and his family who weathered the storm in the Houston area. I can't believe it's September already. The holidays will be here before we know it!
