I start to write about the mundane happenings in our lives, how the weather is perfect, about grocery shopping for Mom last night, about going to her place today. It's all so unimportant.
I gave Reece and Aubrey a special love when they left for school today, holding them a little longer, praying for their safety as they left for the day.
I remembered their cookie baking session yesterday, and thought how grateful I am for their loud voices and exuberance. They are alive, we can hold them and snuggle them. They are alive.
Dear God, please comfort the families of those little precious children who died at Sandy Hook School. May the children and adults who died rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine on them. Amen
